Description
PF-SFP10G-LR is a 10GBASE-LR SFP+ transceiver for single-mode fiber. It runs at 10.3 Gbps on 1310 nm, terminates in an LC duplex connector, reports DDM readings, is rated for 0–70 °C, and reaches 10 km over OS2 single-mode fiber.
It is the usual choice for building-to-building and campus links, with one module in the core switch and one in the remote building, and it is equivalent to OEM parts such as Cisco SFP-10G-LR, Huawei OSX010000, H3C SFP-XG-LX-SM1310, Aruba J9151E and Juniper EX-SFP-10GE-LR. The EEPROM is coded for Cisco, Huawei, H3C, Aruba, Juniper, Ruijie or MikroTik before shipping, so tell us the switch model when ordering.
LR needs single-mode fiber; it will not work over the multimode fiber normally installed indoors, and the far end must be an LR module too. The 10 km figure is an optical budget, not a guarantee: old splices, patch panels and dirty ferrules all eat into it, so clean the connectors and read the DDM optical power on both switches after installation. For spans beyond 10 km use PF-SFP10G-ER. Warranty is 3 years.
