Description
PF-QSFP40G-SR4 is a 40GBASE-SR4 QSFP+ transceiver for multimode fiber. It carries 40 Gbps as four 10 Gbps lanes on 850 nm through a single MPO/MTP-12 connector, reports DDM readings, is rated for 0–70 °C, and reaches 100 m over OM3 or 150 m over OM4.
It is used for 40G links between core and distribution switches in a data centre or a large campus, over MPO trunk cabling, and it is equivalent to OEM parts such as Cisco QSFP-40G-SR4 and Huawei QSFP-40G-iSR4. The EEPROM is coded for Cisco, Huawei, H3C, Aruba, Juniper, Ruijie or MikroTik before shipping, so tell us the switch model when ordering.
SR4 needs a 12-fiber MPO trunk with the correct polarity, not a pair of LC patch cords, so confirm the cabling before ordering, and fit an SR4 module at both ends. Many switches can break the port out into 4 x 10G with an MPO-to-4-LC harness, but only on ports the switch software allows and only after the port is configured for breakout — check the platform first. Warranty is 3 years.
