10G SFP+ Passive DAC 3m

PF-DAC10G-3M is a 3 m passive direct-attach twinax cable with an SFP+ connector moulded onto each end. It carries 10.3 Gbps over copper, needs no transceivers and no patch cord, and draws less power than a pair of optical modules.

Three metres is the length that reaches between adjacent racks, or from a switch at the top of one rack to a device further down another, inside the same MDF or IDF room, and it is equivalent to OEM parts such as Cisco SFP-H10GB-CU3M and Huawei SFP-10G-CU3M. Each end carries its own EEPROM, coded for Cisco, Huawei, H3C, Aruba, Juniper, Ruijie or MikroTik before shipping, so tell us the switch model at each end when ordering.

A DAC is a fixed length and cannot be re-terminated, so measure the route through the cable manager before ordering — a cable that is 3 m long does not cross a room. Passive twinax has no optics and reports no DDM readings, and both ends must be SFP+ ports running at 10G; for anything longer than a rack row, a pair of PF-SFP10G-SR modules on fiber is the right answer. Warranty is 3 years.
