10G SFP+ Passive DAC 1m

PF-DAC10G-1M is a 1 m passive direct-attach twinax cable with an SFP+ connector moulded onto each end. It carries 10.3 Gbps over copper, needs no transceivers and no patch cord, and draws less power than a pair of optical modules.

It is the cheap way to link two switches in the same rack, or a server to a top-of-rack switch, and it is equivalent to OEM parts such as Cisco SFP-H10GB-CU1M and Huawei SFP-10G-CU1M. Each end carries its own EEPROM, coded for Cisco, Huawei, H3C, Aruba, Juniper, Ruijie or MikroTik before shipping, so tell us the switch model at each end when ordering.

A DAC is a fixed length and cannot be re-terminated, so measure the route through the cable manager before choosing 1 m or 3 m; if it is too short, PF-DAC10G-3M covers the next step up. Passive twinax has no optics and reports no DDM readings, both ends must be SFP+ ports running at 10G, and the cable is stiffer than fiber, so keep the bend radius generous inside the rack. Warranty is 3 years.
